ELEVEN dogs, 6 females, 5 males, have come into rescue today. They are young and incredibly adoptable. They just need a place to stay where they can be loved on and socialized until their forever homes are identified. If you can help, please contact Terry Sandlak as soon as possible at 727-686-4186.
There are currently several adoption applications in the works, and young dogs are often adopted quickly. If you could use a little extra-soft fluff wafting around the house for a few weeks, this is your opportunity!
It is possible there will be another group of young dogs coming in very quickly, so this is really an emergency. They have already had their first round of shots, and crates are available if needed.

The 2010 Great Pyrenees Photo Calendar contest is over, and the winners have been chosen. Due to the overwhelming response, the Calendar Committee was unable to come up with 13 winners.
So, they decided to print TWO different calendars … thus allowing for 26 winners!

 Prince has been adopted and renamed Atticus! He now lives with a couple and their female Pyr. The couple are current club members, so they are experienced Pyr people. The good report on him is he is aready surveying his home calmly and with that wonderful authoritative pyr air we all know and love.
Congratulations to Atticus (Prince) and his new family.
Thank you's go out to Terry and Lori for fostering this fellow.

 The Fall picnic this last weekend was a huge success. A big thank you goes out to Pam and Larry Croy for hosting another wonderful event. Over 60 pyrs belonging to club members were present, and fun was had by all. Thanks go out to everyone who helped make this event happen. Photos of the picnic are online here in our photo gallery.

 Great news, everyone: Joy and Bobby Carson, and their 2 year old son, adopted Crickett. She actually gets her own little boy. When you see them at the next picnic, you will realize how important it is to that dog to have a child of her own.
Huge thanks go out to Linda for fostering this girl. She took her from starving shelter waif to well-balanced happy fluff-ball. Thanks also to Pam, who originally picked her up, and to Stacey for the home visit. I am sure others were involved in her rescue as well.

The club is rescuing 10 pyrs that were dumped at a kill shelter by an unscrupulous breeder. As always, the club is in desperate need of foster homes. If you can't foster, please consider sponsoring a dog to be fostered at a boarding facility.
