2010-07-Duncan-SuccessDuncan's story has a happy ending. His new family sent us a few photos to show how well he is fitting into the family! Happy endings like this makes all the work that goes into rescuing these dogs worthwhile. Typically 6-12 volunteers help with each and every dog. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers that helped with Duncan.

I know everyone has heard it before BUT if you are interested in fostering, PLEASE let Terry know. She is now having to turn pyrs away because we have no room. We had 5 calls yesterday! Pyrs will end up in the shelters & will only have a few days before they are euthanized. We have pyrs you can foster that are already in the foster care system with known temperament and behavior, so your first foster can be easy. It's a great way to give your current dog a temporary companion or playmate

PLEASE HELP!!! Terry – 727.686.4186 – This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

2010-06-08-kennedyHi my name is Kennedy. My owners abandoned me when they moved out of state and left me and others on a farm with no food or water. I’m only 47 pounds at 2 years old and all my ribs and hip bones are showing. All of my hair is missing (except for a little on head) from mange. My rescuers say I am very sweet, I ride well in a car and I really love to eat (since my previous owners didn’t feed me), so I am very food protective, but not with humans. I have many bathes ahead of me and I still need to be neutered (but that will wait until I can gain weight) but I will need lots of help. Please find it in your heart to help and donate for my treatments.

Update: Thanks to everyone that donated for my treatment. I have found my forever home and my best friend a little boy that I truly love and he loves me too. I am all better now thanks to everyone who was kind enough to help a little pup like me! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
