The FGPR is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization which relies solely on funding from direct charitable gifts, program fees, membership dues, fund-raising, and donations. Our mission is protecting the Great Pyrenees breed through rescue and adoption efforts. We are fortunate to have some unbelievable volunteers who make this possible, because the rescue costs of a Great Pyrenees often far exceed the adoption fee.
A concession stand is set up at dog events throughout the Tampa Bay area and is manned by a dedicated group of volunteers who give up their weekends through the season to raise money for the club’s rescue work. Every $1 donated to the concession stand generates up to $5 profit, which is dedicated to rescue dogs.
From time to time we run specific campaigns to raise funds for Pyrs in need of serious medical and/or surgical care.
If you would like to donate to the general rescue fund, we will be very grateful, or if you would like to donate for a specific purpose, please feel free to designate that on the donation form. Any amount, no matter its size, is greatly appreciated.
