With Cody in tow, (Denny has “copped a tude” , because …I left him home ) , I advance on the building, stopping of course at a tree to let Cody check for messages , there were none, so we set our sights on the nursing home itself.
I walked into the day room, greeted all, walked from one person to another with Cody~~One of my friends asks me ” are You going to be around for a time ? We are being visited by a group of school children in a little while”~~
Coincidence being what it is, as She asked, the children came marching in. The director had the children line up, Cody and I went down the line to say Hello. Then, they started singing, Here comes Peter Cottontail , Puff the magic Dragon, and several others~~We clapped , We laughed ( yes, I stayed to see the show)~~then outside for an Easter Egg hunt~one child brought Cody his very own Easter Egg.~Again the children lined up and Cody and I went down the line to say our goodbyes. As I headed for the door, I turned and called out Good-bye~~
“Thanks” were shouted back, and one Lady blew me a Kiss ( or was it Cody that She blew the Kiss to ? )
