Florida Great Pyrenees Club

The 2009 First Friday Dog Days of Summer was a big success for our club and our rescued dogs.
 
There was excellent attendance by club members who brought fosters, owned dogs, and a wealth of knowledge to share with everyone that stopped at our corner......and boy did they stop!  We had a total of 16 Pyrs:  8 foster and 8 owned dogs attend.

 Of course, this means we also had lots of help handing out knowledge and brochures and dog-specific information cards.
 
Donations were collected.  Charlie Ford was adopted.  Oodles of inquires were answered about how to get to our website to check out the dogs and complete adoption applications.  We even had two families that currently own Pyrs ask how they could join the club and be part of the fun!

 
There was an interview done by a film crew about the work our club does.  I will post the website link next week when it is available.
 
We had as much fun as we could pack into 3 hours.  This is an annual event, so start planning now to attend the one on First Friday in August 2010!
