Chicken Liver Treats

Member Linda Mercer contributed this tasty home recipe.

Chicklen Liver TreatsThe smell of these baking was enough to keep all my dogs in a haze of contentment, and it was really easy, the results (according to an independent panel of four!) spectacular - the only hard part was slicing the livers because they're slippery little beasties.

Take one package of fresh chicken livers.

Slice fairly thinly (approx 1/4 inch thick)

Line baking sheets with parchment paper for easy clean-up,  place liver slices on the parchment paper and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 2 hours.

A 1 1/2 pound package of chicken livers yields 3 baking sheets worth of treats.  Keep refrigerated as they don't last long.
